It was coincidence which brought me to a breeder of Lamleh dogs when looking for my first Tibetan Terrier.  The cultural heritage of their country of origin was part of the initial draw to the breed as was their size, their inner beauty and their ability to be so discriminating about many things:   people, dogs and their surroundings.

At Woodruff Kennel one motivation  has been to continue the work of those who came before me and to seek ways to keep these valuable lines viable.   Working within  a limited gene pool is not an easy path to follow but the rewards are great. 

I hope to dispel some myths about this small group of Tibetan Terriers and to interest others in sharing the great pleasures of being a steward of these lines. 

Not only have I worked to breed a better dog, one easy to live with, easy on the eye, and successful in the show ring but also I've spent a great deal of time over the years trying to understand and resolve health issues in our wonderful breed.
