"A true T.T. should be EVEN......ALL OVER.  Same distance from the Occiput (boney protuberance at rear of skull) to the eyes, as the distance from the eyes to nose.  This will give you a dog with NOT too much foreface.  Then memorize the standard for the breed.  A true T. T. has absolutely NO arches in their feet.  Their coat should NOT be too long.  If it were this way in their native land they would get so bogged down with balled up snow they could not walk.  The coat should be coarse to the touch...NOT soft or silky.  Their bone is strong, but NOT coarse, or cloddy.  A T.T. in good condition will have vertebrae and sacrum bones you can FEEL.  The ribs should be covered slightly with flesh....but never fat.  These bones are more evident in some dogs, than in others.  The teeth should be good, firm and ....our bites here, are now....99.44% even.  The Standard says...."Even bite prefered."  Look for good teeth and an even bite...it CAN be done.  Look for a good bouncy gait....not cloddy or plodding.  Tail up...head up....the whole appearance of the dog should say..."Here I am....who are you?  I don't care....the whole world can go to H---, I am a T.T.!" "
